My name is Greg Johnson, and I am honored to serve the Albany Area School District and the communities of Albany, Avon, Farming, St. Anthony, and St. Martin. As I near the end of my third year as superintendent, I am exceedingly proud of our work to nurture the academic and social growth of our 1700+ students. We have an experienced, highly-skilled staff dedicated to helping every child reach their potential, and we are fortunate to have a school board, parents, and community that provide our schools with outstanding support. Proud of our vibrant program offerings, most recently I am excited by facility improvements that will create new opportunities for all stakeholders.
In the spring of 2017, Albany Area Schools adopted a new strategic plan. Bold in its reach, the plan’s focus on innovative teaching and learning, dynamic communication, and expanded access to our 21st century facilities will serve to shape our schools for the next three years.
The Albany Area School District has a long, rich history. Inspired by that past, I eagerly look forward to what tomorrow will bring for our students, staff, and community.
