About Us

Albany Elementary is a K-5 school community with 476 students. Our newly implemented Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) pillars of Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe drive everything we do at Albany Elementary. Our staff of over 80 professionals reinforces these pillars and provides support by focusing on showing "Pawsitive Pride." Our innovative staff members provide outstanding instruction and creatively meet the needs of our students. Through close collaboration, our teachers strive to improve and strengthen our rigorous curriculum, all the while setting high expectations for all learners. As part of this effort, we have dedicated intervention blocks at every grade level to meet the needs of students at all academic levels. Wellness is also an important component of our school. For example, we have many students participating in our 100 Mile Club. Two mornings each week, before school, students and staff run or walk together. This prepares students for the demands of the school day and helps establish healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Albany Elementary takes pride in providing a caring, nurturing, healthy, and positive environment.
