Our Kindergarteners had fun making traps for the Leprechaun. Please see our photo galleries to see if they caught him and for more fun photos!
Albany Elementary students were indeed a “Rainbow of Readers” this February during “I Love to Read Month." Working together they were able to uncover the mystery picture by reading over 2,640 books during the month. Way to go!
Learning about rainbows, creating gumdrop towers, completing breakout puzzles and participating in an alphabet letter mystery word hunt rounded off the activities for the “I Love to Read” month.
Through the generosity of the Albany PTO, all students at Albany Elementary will have the opportunity to visit with an author in May. David LaRochelle will be meeting with students in grades K-4 while Margi Preus will be speaking to students in grade 5.

First graders celebrated the 100th Day of School by reading 100 books, putting together 100 piece puzzles, licking a lollipop 100 times, and other fun activities. We loved learning about rainbows in I Love to Read month and wrote a classroom acrostic poem with the colors of the rainbow. We were eager to read books to discover the school's mystery picture. We LOVED going sledding in P.E.! We are making great gains in reading and math. We are ready to build math fact power and continue to hone our writing skills. See our photo gallery for more photos!
