The Albany-Avon Soccer Club had great Summer League participation from both boys & girls and this fall, our new JV girls soccer team is competing against other JV teams from around the region. In addition to this, the Albany-Avon Soccer Club worked with the Community Education Department to create some fall opportunities for our Middle School students. Our Middle School Girls team practices after school three times a week and the Boys team is practices primarily later in the evening. We have combined the teams to compete with some other programs around the area that have co-ed teams and each team will also be playing some games in the next month against ROCORI. Purple Pride!

Albany Drama is thrilled to announce this year's exciting season! There are many great opportunities for students to try something new or continue to develop their theatre skills. Please encourage Albany students in grades 6-12 to get involved and come show support by being in the audience.

This year's fall play is inspired by the popular board game, Clue and features a stellar cast of students in grades 6-12. It is directed by Linda Zwak. Performances are November 18, 19, and 20 in the BEAT.

This year's one-act play for high school students will be directed by Ashley Goebel and will include a performance of the new script, Pink.

For our middle school students, there is a Middle School Play, directed by Paula van der Hagen, that will be selected at a later date. Students should sign up with Community Education. The students will perform on February 2nd in the BEAT.

Lastly, we continue our tradition of amazing musicals with Disney's Newsies for students in grades 6-12. Come and see it performed on April 28, 29, and 30 in the BEAT. Paula van der Hagen will once again direct the spring musical.
