Tutoring
Assistance to Students for Knowledge:
A.S.K. is a peer tutoring program at Albany Area High School that aids students who need help in doing assignments, improving a grade, or understanding difficult subject material. Junior and senior high students can turn to their fellow classmates who volunteer their time to meet with them if they need help with their academic work. By filling out an application, students requesting help will be matched with a tutor from the Junior/Senior High School. Once the tutor is matched with the tutee, it is recommended that he/she tutor a minimum of one hour per week but may choose to tutor more than that. Tutoring sessions are held on a one-to-one basis and can take place before school, during resource time or after school in the Media Center, depending on students' schedules and availability.
