Athletic Trainer

Hello - My name is Brittany Ludwig, the new Athletic Trainer at Albany Area Schools!

'I grew up in Alexandria, MN and graduated from Jefferson High School. In high school I participated in basketball, track and field, and was part of the Sports Medicine Assistant Program, which is where I found my passion for athletic training. After high school, I attended The College of St Scholastica in Duluth, MN, where I competed on the track team and obtained my Master's degree in Athletic Training. I accepted a job with Novacare where I have had the opportunity to work in many different athletic training settings, including: the industrial setting, high school, collegiate, and even with the NBA. I have gained some amazing and unforgettable experiences through all these settings, but I have always had a strong desire to work with my very own high school. When the position arose to work with Albany High School, I just knew it would be a perfect fit for me: a smaller town, a close knit community, and a history of great athletics. I am very excited to start the athletic training program here this year. My goals are to help the school and community gain an understanding of my profession and work with coaches, parents, athletes and administrators to help keep athletes safe, healthy, and be the best they can be.'

Brittany Ludwig, ATC has been working for NovaCare since October 2018. She has worked as an athletic trainer for Cybex in Owatonna, Litchfield HS, NBA officials and event coverage throughout Minnesota. She enjoys the diversity of her work and strives to keep each individual doing what they love. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys being with her family and friends, watching high school sports, and coaching/officiating track and field.
