• Community Education Director, Cassie Novak

    Cassie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Sports Management from Saint Cloud State University and a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership and Director of Community Education Licensure from Minnesota State University-Mankato. Her experience in the field stems back to high school as a student representative on the Holdingford Community Education Advisory Council. She has also served as the Director of Community Education for Holdingford Public Schools and the Adult Programs & Facilities Coordinator for St. Anthony-New Brighton Community Services.

    Cassie is an active member of the Minnesota Community Education Association and greatly values networking with other community educators across the state to help bring new and exciting opportunities to our district. She enjoys attending sporting events (especially the Vikings, Twins, and her nieces' softball and volleyball games), crafting, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and husband, Bryan.

    Community Education Coordinator, Kelly Neu

    Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in English and Communications at the College of Saint Benedict. She has extensive customer service experience through past employment as a sales manager at Herberger's department store, an outside sales representative and story writer for the Sauk Centre Herald, as well as the executive director of the Melrose Area Chamber of Commerce.

    Kelly is very active in the Melrose Area Women of Today and the Minnesota Women of Today. She enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and visiting state and national parks. She and her husband Don live in Freeport and have three children

    Kids Company Coordinator, Brad Jensen

    Brad earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Recreation and Sports Management and a minor in General Business from St. Cloud State University in 2015. As the Kids Company Coordinator, Brad oversees Kids Company sites at Avon and Albany Elementary schools and the Wrap-Around Care and Preschool Camp program for the district’s Early Childhood programs. Prior to his position with Albany Area Schools, Brad spent the last three years in several different positions in the ROCORI School District. He has coached middle school and high school basketball and golf, along with assisting the Activities Director in game day operations at both the middle school and high school level. During the summer, he spent his time at KIDSTOP, the primary child care program for elementary schools in the ROCORI School District, which he has been a part of since 2013. On the weekends Brad also manages a restaurant in Cold Spring where he has worked for the past 10 years.

    Brad is a proud alumna of ROCORI Schools and currently resides in St. Joseph.

    Community Education Administrative Assistant, Alisa Schmidt

    Alisa is a 2004 graduate of Paynesville Area High School. After graduation she pursued her degree in Radio Broadcasting and received her Associates Degree from Brown College in 2006. Alisa moved to Mitchell, South Dakota to pursue a career in her degree field, but eventually moved home to be closer to family and friends. Alisa has extensive customer service experience, including working for over ten years as a Manager at the Albany Bowling Center. Throughout the course of her time at ABC, Alisa grew to love the Albany community and is happy to call Albany her home.

    Alisa enjoys spending her time with her son, Kai. Their favorite things to do together include walking nature trails, having game night and watching the Vikings on game day!

    Early Childhood Coordinator, Kristy Yurczyk

    Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Birth-3rd Grade from Saint Cloud State University. She has also earned her Masters Degree in Education from Saint Scholastica College of Duluth. Kristy has loved working with children since she was young. During high school, she was able to work in a kindergarten classroom which helped her make the decision to get a degree where she could teach small children. She is currently the Early Childhood Family Education/School Readiness Coordinator for Albany Area Schools as well as a Preschool and ECFE teacher at Avon Elementary.

    Kristy enjoys reading, running, crafting, and spending time biking and kayaking with her husband, Tim, and their daughter, Greta.
