Where success is a tradition

Albany Area Middle School

  • Welcome to Albany Area Middle School. We are a school of approximately 420 students serving the communities of Albany, Avon, Farming, St. Anthony, and St. Martin. Our goal is to provide all students academic and personal growth in a safe learning environment. The foundation of AAMS is our Purple Pride: being Positive, being Polite, being Prompt, being Prepared, and being Productive. The middle school years are critical stepping-stones for success in high school and life after graduation. Our professional staff support all students academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to developing the potential of each learner for success in a fast-changing world, and we are excited to be part of their development. We are also proud of the fact that AAMS test scores continue to rank above the state average.

Our school’s core classes consist of English, math, science and social studies. Students are also offered academic opportunities in the areas of physical education, health, Spanish, family and consumer science, Project Lead The Way, art, band, and choir. We also offer after-school support programs through targeted services and tutoring.

Our school receives outstanding community support, which we deeply appreciate.
